Tim's Perfect Painting ("we," "us," or "our") is a sole-proprietorship painting contractor based in Raleigh, North Carolina, owned and operated by Tim Herrin. This privacy policy explains what information we collect through timspaintrepair.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights under North Carolina law.
1. Information we collect
We only collect information you give us, plus the minimum technical information needed to operate the site.
Information you provide directly
- Estimate request information. When you submit the contact form on this site or call us, you may share your name, phone number, email address, home address, and a description of your painting project.
- Communications. Any text messages, emails, or voicemails you send us, including the content of those messages.
Information collected automatically
- Standard server logs. Our web server records IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamps when you visit a page, for security and performance reasons. Logs are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted.
- Cookies. The site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies for basic functionality. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or analytics that profile individual visitors.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for one set of purposes only — running the painting business:
- To respond to your estimate request and schedule a walk-through.
- To send you a written quote and coordinate the project.
- To contact you about your project while it is in progress.
- To follow up after a project to make sure you are happy with the work.
- To keep records of our work for warranty and tax purposes.
- To protect against fraud and to comply with North Carolina law.
We do not use your information to send marketing or promotional email unless you explicitly ask to be added to a mailing list, and we do not currently maintain such a list.
3. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your information. We do not rent your information. We do not trade your information.

- Our crew. Painters working on your project will see your name, address, project scope, and contact number so they can do the job.
- Service providers. Our email and SMS providers route messages between you and us. They do not use your information for their own purposes.

4. How we protect your information
Tim's Perfect Painting complies with the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 75-60 et seq.). We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information you share with us:
- All data submitted through this site is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- Estimate records are stored on secure devices accessible only to Tim and authorized crew members.
- We do not store credit card numbers; payments are processed through third-party processors at the time of invoicing.
- If we become aware of a security incident affecting your unencrypted personal information, we will notify you in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 75-65, generally within the timelines required by that statute.
5. Your rights as a North Carolina resident
You have the right at any time to:
- Ask what information we have about you.

- Ask us to delete the information we have about you, unless we are required to keep it for a tax, warranty, or legal reason.

6. Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults considering a painting project for their home or business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
7. Third-party links
This site links to external resources — Home Depot product listings (through our live paint-cost estimator), and a Google Maps reference for service area. Those third-party sites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for how they handle your information.
8. Cookies and tracking
The only cookies the site sets are necessary to run features you actively use (such as remembering you have completed the welcome animation during a single page session). We do not set advertising cookies, do not allow third-party advertising networks to set cookies through our site, and do not use cross-site tracking.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will continue to function with cookies disabled.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in North Carolina law. The "Last updated" date at the top will tell you when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for at least 30 days.
10. Governing law
This privacy policy is governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute about how we handle your information will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
